morecharac
This one was really noticeable today. Is it unauthorised information if BBO's traps become predictable enough that the defense can make predictions of which cards partner has by the way previous tricks played? Today opponents were in a NT contract. After the first several tricks easily went our way, I knew from BBO's past deals that partner, opposite my ♣KJx had the ♣A. There was no way to know this from the auction or the card play, just from having played enough BBO sessions to have a feel for when a hand is trappy for declarer. I didn't take the play but the fact that it was obvious that partner held a particular card, confirmed by the hand diagram afterward, isn't desirable ethically. This isn't the first time the zeitgeist of a session was palpable. morecharac
I am not clear what you mean by the word "trap"When normal play or bidding will fail despite normal odds favouring it heavily. The type of hands one might not see once in several hundred random deals.

He would be well advised to avoid squandering his talents on free-tournaments and club-games; to focus his skills on money-games and national-competition, instead. Good luck :)
