more bidding 3

The problem lies with the bidding box. We have all misread the bidding because it is not formatted as a table. Could we offer a bidding table as an option which the poster could fill in?

This is not the first time we have needed it B)

we passed 4s, and we had icecode 5h, actually 6h was there due to singleton CQ dropped in east hand.

whom to blame ?

AS I understand it, partner bid 3H and LHO bid 3S (presumably showing a good hand, since he passed first time). In which case 3H is setting trumps, so I'll cue 4C (my cheapest control)

I am with you in voting 4C. However, 4C must be at least a feature as well as a cue bid and then this is the key to giving partner the information to compete to 5H.

I think North can take the push to 5 once spades have been bid and raised.

But speaking of fit bids; A better call is for North to try 5. If East bids 5 (and I bet he will!) then South can take the push to 6.

Hi,

hard to blame anyone, blame it on the vulnerability.

The main problem is, that both sides are

maximum, and have nothing wasted.

North could go, but if he chooses to do so,

he should bid 5C, as was suggested by Phil,

altough for me, 5C has a different meaning,

for me 5C is a lead director, i.e. 5C does not

promises length and values.
