It seems North GIB has no way to actually ask Key Cards. The explanation for the 4NT bid reads like a quantitative 4NT. 2. The alacrity with which GIB passed my 6NT made me suspect that it did not run simulations before the final pass. Otherwise it would (should?) have considered raising to 7NT or switching to 7♦.
