dougiedon
Hello, I can't find a description of the icons to the left of the card table, is there a help page for the board count and trick count icons ? Some of it I can work out - below the IMPs score the box shows a D for dealer and a hand count in the square. But what do the red and white colours around the board count mean ? Sometimes 0 red, 4 white, sometimes 4 red 0 white, sometimes 2 and 2 ? Thanks dougie
mycroft
Vulnerability markers - Red is vul, white is not vul. BBO uses the standard duplicate pattern (Law 2 of the Laws of Contract Bridge) to ensure that every 16 boards, each player is dealer once at every vulnerability (none, us, them, all). If you're used to playing rubber, the notion of fixed vulnerabilities will be new. If you play Chicago (4-deal), then you're comfortable with set vulnerabilities, but they're on a 4 board rotation. In Duplicate, we want to see all 16 possibilities, so we do. Note that BBO scores hands using the duplicate scoring system as well - 300 for a NV game, 500 for V game, 50 for partscores + trick score (and slam bonus, and no honours).
