My question is what is the range of points that W may have after this bidding sequence.

Edit: Let me elaborate some more. Rebidding by W shows that they have at least normal opening and good 6 card H. What I would like to know is should they rebid if they had e.g. 13-14 points or should they pass? Also how many points should they have to bid 3H instead of 2H?

Third seat opening so more or less 0-20, although re-opening after a psyche knowing the opps have game would be pretty stupid.

IMO, in this context, partner should re-open with a take-out double on any remotely suitable hand; because the best hope of getting rich is that you can convert to penalties. Hence partner should have a sound opener and a hand unsuitable for a take-out double e.g. with good long ♥s or ♣ values. [/hv]

Maybe 12-17, anyway I voted 13-16.

Most hands with 6 hearts would rather double so this suggest too little defense to tolerate partner's penalty pass, likely 7 hearts.

In the bidding given West has made a minimum rebid. I would expect 12-14 hcp and 6 +♥ I would expect the same irrespective

of North's overcall With a stronger hand,West could double for takeout over the 2♣ intervention..
