jlm422
Three friends and I have been playing in the Casual Game, using Total Points scoring. I would like to try MP scoring, but another player said we could not because we are not playing against anyone. Is it possible to use MP scoring, and if so who are we playing against? Other virtual players??
sfi
Each hand in the casual games will eventually be played at 16 tables. When you score using IMPs or matchpoints, your result is compared against each other table to determine your result. You will wind up with 15 comparisons, which gives you a top score of 15 or 30 matchpoints (depending how you think about the score). This result is then converted to a percentage, which is what you will see for each hand. IMPs works similarly, but your score is the average of your IMP comparison against every other table. Normally you will not be the last table to play the hand. So your score is likely to change when new results come in. You can look at results from other tables when playing (History -> Recent Hands on the right side, and then select the Other Tables button) or later at www.bridgebase.com/myhands.
