franmel Posted October 14, 2020 Report Share Posted October 14, 2020 Can someone explain why my BBO award is not changing even though I have the points for the next grade. I am new to BBO but my BBO points now show 5.8 award 2+, points to next grade -0.8. Now whenever I get BBO points the negative number needed for next grade just gets higher and award remains at 2+. I could select world-class, but in reality i know i am just an average player whose life does not revolve around bridge. The whole concept of self-describing one's skill level is stupid on its surface. Everywhere else in bridge the divisions are beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Really, that is all you need to know. It is self-policing anyway. If you are just average and happen to get seated at a table of advanced players either you leave pretty quickly or you get tossed out. Rarely you fined decent people who welcome you and try to teach you something. Rarely, most advanced players here have egos the size of Trump's. This thread has nothing to do with skill levels, it's talking about the number that shows in your profile to indicate what range of BBO points you have.
