Over West's 3♠ opening bid, a 3N overcall was the the doomed BBO consensus. If North's double systemically showed 4♥, then NS were lucky to land on their feet. Presumably, conventional calls were self-alerted? [/hv]

Well it's only doomed until E makes a double of 3N as bad as the one he made of 5♣. S has much more of a problem over a pass of 5♣ as now can't north have a club hand too good for an immediate bid of clubs.
