The guide for directors in https://blog.bridgebase.com/2020/04/02/the-virtual-club-manager-manual/ says that "Players who are disconnected will be automatically placed back on their seat at the end of the board in progress if they come back online and the tourney is still in progress". But, in my experience as a director, that does not happen and the director needs to go through all the reseating process.
