shyams
I have played in a couple of pairs tournament where I chose to enter with GIB as my partner. My question is: Is the Robot for such tournaments an "advanced" version? I ask because, having played lots with both adv and basic bots, I got a sense that the bots in these tournaments weren't advanced.
pilowsky
What 'sense' did you use to determine this?
smerriman
http://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/news_fetch.php?id=969 All tourney creators can choose to allow robots in their pairs tournaments. If they have "allowed robots", you will be able to rent a robot as a partner in the tourney, and these are all advanced tourney class robots. You do not have to rent advanced robots separately. To check if a tournament allows robots click on "Register" and the registration window should show a button that says Play with Robot ($0.25) if robots are allowed. Click it and you will be registered to play with an advanced robot as your partner.
