Would appreciate if Prime members could bring a guest

This is a suggestion to make Prime membership more valuable: (I would subscribe if this were included)

 

Rather than practicing by myself with the Prime robots, I'd prefer to bring a partner to the Prime area for practice. It seems that presently Prime members can only play in the Prime area with other Prime members. Why not let Prime members set up a table and invite their real partners from BBO to practice with them? It would be like sponsoring a guest at a country club.

 

Currently, Prime members who wish to practice with a non-Prime member must rent robots in the regular area.

I'm not a Prime member, but when Prime was first introduced..

 

You can invite friends anytime by “reserving” a seat for them at your table, even if they are not Prime members.

.. and I've definitely played at a Prime table before. So unless something has changed recently, are you sure you aren't able to?

Prime members can definitely bring a friend.

 

Set up a table.

 

There are 5 types of table in the Prime area.

 

Invite your friend in the usual way.

 

But, I recall that there was a problem for a short period when I was unable to invite friends. This was odd. I did not report it to "support" because "support" has not been very supportive in my experience.

 

The problem eventually went away after a few weeks.

 

Secondly, the invitation can sometimes vanish from your partner's screen. This is a software bug that BBO has not fixed and does not seem to care about.
