cooee
Could someone please tell me how much data ( approximately ) is used per hour when playing in a tournament on BBO
gbb483
About 5M. I use my EE 3G for BBO as it is the only way to avoid disconnection. A 2 hr session runs to about 10M, and as I have a 125M PAYG monthly allowance for my minimum payment its not a problem. I can use the landline WiFi for most internet access, so I can put the full 125 to BBO if necessary.
pilowsky
One fact worth knowing for Australian consumers (gbb483 can correct me with superior knowledge) is that only Telstra has a SIM in its MODEM. This means that if there is an outage in your area the MODEM will switch to the telephone network without interruption. This is one reason (additional coverage and a wired landline vs VOIP) are the reasons Telstra costs more. I do not know what effect the eventual change to NBN will have on Australian consumers. cooee
Thanks everyone.10Mb per hour is not much as far as I am concerned.I did not need an accurate answer as I only need to know how much pre-paid data approx I will neeed as I am going away from my home data connection for a month or so.I have 79 Gb of data available on my mobile phone so I can play BBO for 24/7 if I like whilst I am away. Thanks so much to all who answered
