portia2
How should the following hands be bid by N/S?[hv=pc=n&s=s94hakj984d6caqt3&n=sk82h62daq93ckj95&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=1dppd2d]266|200[/hv]
Cyberyeti
I think we would bid a 4th seat 2♥ rather than X but that depends on your agreements (something like 13-16 and a 6 card suit for us).
fromageGB
Ditto, but if S did X, with N I would bid 2NT.
P_Marlowe
Hi, Pass. The reopening double in 4th could be as weak as 8HCP, the only options besides Passare 2NT and 3C, both are pretty unappealing, so Pass it is.After that South will bid 2H, and North can raise to 4H or bid 3NT. As stated, the qustion is, how strong is a direkt jump overcall by South, a 13-16 range( or something similar would be perfect ), 10 - 15 is also pretty common, but selling thehand as slightly stronger than that would be fine as well. With kind regardsMarlowe
AL78
As the auction has gone, 2NT by North, 3♥ by South, 4♥ by North, should make +1, or +2 if you play ♥AK and drop the queen. I've missed 6♣, but I'm not worrying about missing thin slams based on perfectly matching hands after the opponents have opened.
steve2005
I am with Cyberyeti. 2H is clearly a better description of South's Hand.
Vampyr
Ditto, but if S did X, with N I would bid 2NT. What would your 2NT be?
