BBO format on an iPad

Recommended Posts

I go to the BBO site to play casual bridge, sometimes tournaments, sometimes “4Hands”.

When I use my iPhone 6s I can see the Tabs for ”Play”,”Messages,” “People” , “History,” and “Account always visible at the bottom of my screen. I can click on any one of the buttons(tabs) and get that information.

It used to be like that when I used my iPad, too.

Now, however, my iPad shows the tabs on the right-hand side of the page, vertically coming down. If I try to click on a tab I get an inkling that, say “History” has opened but I can only see a very tiny edge of it. The rest is obscured by the main page from BBO.

I want my iPad to display everything the way it used to, just like my iPhone.

Did I do something inadvertently to cause this ?

I don’t have a BBO app, as far as I know. I just go to the website and log in.

Do you have suggestions?

iOS13 forces desktop view for ipads, for some reason. Normally BBO presents the icons at the bottom when detecting a mobile device, but since iOS version 13 Apple has changed this behavior. We're investigating how to fix this.

Thanks so much for answering me. What I don’t understand is that it used to work fine, just like my iPhone.

Then , suddenly it switched.

I have not knowingly allowed my iPad to do any updates (I hate them. And they reset all the extra privacy layers that I painstakingly remove for convenience Ed in opening.)
