barmar
Yes, audio is supposed to work in Chrome. We haven't tested all combinations of browsers and hardware.

barmar
I use Chrome on a MacBook, and I'm certain I've listened to Vugraph with it many times. But I don't have a Chromebook.

I use Chrome on a PC, and I have listened to Vugraph audio with it but I have also been unable to hear audio some times and unable to determine if that was because there was a problem or because there was no audio to begin with.It would help if it was clearly indicated when there is no audio available and also maybe to have a "Test audio" feature or something similar. [uPDATE] Right now I am watching Rosenthal vs Robinson (Kit still plays Puppet over 1NT) with text comment by Al Hollander, there is no indication that voice is not available. gbb483
It would save me having to kill the audio everytime I log in.
fromageGB
It would save me having to kill the audio everytime I log in. Yes, I have my amplifier turned off because the sound effects annoy me. I use chromium (will the be the same as chrome browser) on a PC.

I am not sure what sound effects you two are referring to, could you please clarify? When I log in to vugraph (presumably without audio, as in the Reynolds RR QF right now) I get no noise except the usual card playing noise.Chrome and Win 10. barmar
I think maybe different audio issues are being confused here. There's voice commentary at Vugraph tables, which is what I assumed the original question was about. There's also sound effects when bidding and playing -- alert sounds when it's your turn, and card sounds when you play a card.
