stevenagy
When playing in casual with a few friends, occasionally players lose connection (or are timed out, another problem). A robot takes over immediately. The host kicks the robot and reserves for the missing player, who returns, but the robot continues to play. All players can see the player returned, but cards are sometimes not synchronized for play with all four players. Help! (also, how can we refuse robots taking back over seats? We want to play casually, not care about time, and chat about hands after the play.)
barmar
Select the option "Permission required to play" when creating the table, then it won't boot slow players.

gbb483
I believe putting +slow+ in the description also helps, as well as +private+ to prevent others dropping in.
barmar
I believe putting +slow+ in the description also helps, as well as +private+ to prevent others dropping in.+slow+ just doubles the amount of time before you're booted, from 50 seconds to 100 seconds. +private+ is only used for team games, not main bridge club tables. gbb483
I've been booted for taking more than 2 seconds.
barmar
I've been booted for taking more than 2 seconds.Maybe the table host did that for some reason. It doesn't happen automatically.
queenie9
I believe putting +slow+ in the description also helps, as well as +private+ to prevent others dropping in.Where do you type in +slow+ ......there used to be a time warning that popped up - is it still there? There should still be a warning that pops up.
gbb483
Maybe the table host did that for some reason. It doesn't happen automatically. Given we were a social group, and they would then need to get me back, the probability of that is zero.
barmar
Given we were a social group, and they would then need to get me back, the probability of that is zero.Obviously it wouldn't happen in a group of friends. I was thinking of the case where you join a random table.
