zsolt_12
I downloaded socksCap32.Can anybody help me in setting?
Gerardo
v1 or v2? Using v2 here. First, you need the name or IP adress of your SOCKS server, which usually uses the port 1080. Such server must be able to bypass the firewall (maybe located in the same firewall) to be useful. Then, you need to know which version the SOCKS server uses, and configure the client accordingly. If using v5, I guess "attempt local then remote" when resolving names should be best.In any case, you need a SOCKS server available for this to work. zsolt_12
Some dll-s are 'active' and others 'passive'.You can add several applications & libraries there. If it will work I'll try without df_main too. Are other settings OK? I find another IP: 70.84.141.4online.bridgebase.com We have no SOCKS ServerWhat can I write there? The port 1080 is enabled already. uday
We have no SOCKS Server Sockscap32 is only useful if you are using a socks server, and your network will only allow you access to the internet if you pass thru the socks server. Lets start over. Why did you download sockscap32 in the first place?
zsolt_12
Because I started the program (netbridgevu.exe) and arrived this message:Error - Could not connect to serverWould you like more information about possibile causes of connection problems?Answered: YesAnd this lounched to http://www.bridgebase.com/help/3/cannotconnect.html(The operator behind support@brigebase.com said, he can't help in such kind of question.)Test your connection: http://bbo.bridgebase.com:81/.If you cannot connect to this web page we suggest you downloading and installing SocksCap32 from http://www.socks.permeo.com/. uday
I'll touch base with support@ Meanwhile 1. Try opening http://bridgebase04.bridgebase.com:81/Can you get to this page ? 2. The most likely caue of the inability to connect is that something is blocking BBO from connecting. This is usually your personal firewall program, but it could be your router. Personal firewall: Your antivirus program probably comes with a "personal firewall" that might be blocking BBO from connecting to the internet. Right click on your Macafee/Norton icon in the sytem tray (lower right) and play around. Your goal is to grant permissions to c:\bridge base online\netbrigevu.exe so that it can access the internet. Router: Some routers or ISPs block access on port 9999 . In this case your goal is to find a way to instruct your trouter to allow connections from your PC to the internet on port 9999 3. Please drop me a line -- uday@ - and we'll take it from there Sorry about the wild goose chase (sockscap) uday

uday
So is your sysadmin willing to open any port on your network, and have it proxy to our server?

uday
If 9999 is open, bbo may work. But best to ask the sysadmin - i dont know any other way.
