charlie522
We are a community bridge club for seniors. We are trying to setup a free virtual bridge club on BBO. We were told BBO is now overloaded and will not allow anymore new virtual club. BBO advised us to join big organization like ACBL and ask ACBL to setup a virtual club on BBO for us. However, to join ACBL, our members have to be a ACBL member, the membership fees is huge, and then each time our members want to play, they have to pay. Our members are on fixed pension, to pay for a ACBL membership and then pay to play each time is a hardship. Since BBO allows big organization like ACBL to setup up new virtual clubs, that would mean the capacity is there, BBO just wants to reserve the capacity for pay clubs. Could BBO reconsider the position, and make exception for non-profit bridge clubs for seniors so that they can setup a virtual club and can continue to playing bridge for free?
