logging on to a table by invitation

Recommended Posts

I set up a table today as I have done several times before with reserved seats. One person foound the invitation and the other two did not and therefore could not get on the table. Help please

Welcome to my world and, I suspect, many other BBO users since the switch to a separate Casual server. I see some of my friends on the main server when I log in, but when I click on the Casual server, new friends appear and the old friends disappear. Okay, I get it; there are two distinct servers. Evidently they're not totally integrated. Hopefully they soon will be.

However, puzzle me this: All the above pertains to when I log in with the new BBO software. I log in, and see some friends who I know are playing in the relaxed or main rooms. So, I go to the casual server, and poof! My friends are gone. What's even more puzzling, the tables they're playing at are gone too. Well, not actually gone; but hidden from me, for what reason I cannot fathom.

But when I log in with the old BBO software, it's once again seamless. I log in, and I can see all my friends (and what room they're playing in; something that got turfed with the new version). I click on Casual, go to the relaxed or main room, and there they are!

Physically, I'm connecting to the same server/servers in either case. Why am I only seeing half the picture when I use the new BBO version?

Old clients (Windows, Flash) do not know about Casual server.

New clients (HTML5, Moniles) do.

So:

if you have 4 people with old clients, Casual is not there.

if you have 4 people with new clients, all must go to the Casual server, and only then start a table.

If you have a mix: people with old client should start the table, and invite people by reserving seats, or

new client people can join the table by opening the opener's profile, then join.
