chriswdman Posted May 9, 2020 Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 Playing a private session between 4 named players, a player who takes too long to bid (I don't know how long but it's not that long) gets logged out. This is tedious. (It's even worse if the option allowing kubitzing without request is left on because then as soon as our player gets logged out, someone else jumps in and has to be asked politely to leave, which they meekly do, but that little issue can be dealt with at setup time!) But it seems unnecessary to have this time-out at all or at least it could be much longer, or variable by the setter-up. So why is BBO inflexible on this? Not only will that prevent other users from jumping in, but it will remove any time limits (and if someone gets disconnected for other reasons like a poor connection, it will even reserve the seat for them to jump straight back in [sometimes, depends on type of disconnection I think]).
