how do I start a team match and continue after half time?

There is no half-time in a team match. If you wish to swap opponents, as is popular in some, but not all, countries, then you must run two team matches. Swap the players manually when creating the matches and total the scores yourself.

 

I sense that a new feature with automatic swap of opponents may come at a quieter time for BBO but it has issues associated with the traditional BBO user profile (who will not like being trapped in a team match waiting for the other table to finish).
