No.

 

You can set up a table for four others and one of them will become host when you leave to play at another table.

You can set up the table and act as host without playing. You will need to remain at the table as a kibitzer. You do this exactly as you set up any other table - just don't assign a seat to yourself.

If you leave you CAN'T remain as a kibitzer. If you leave, you leave. You can't be at two tables at the same time.

You can set up a table for four others and one of them will become host when you leave to play at another table.

Once the table is up, when you leave to play, someone else (usually the person who showed up first) will be host. If that's not an issue, then go ahead. If you're the only person who knows how to be a host - resetting scores, requesting/denying access, and so on - then you probably shouldn't leave until (or leave and then come back as a kibitzer until) you've taught the table what host does.

 

But no, when you leave the table doesn't go away. The four people at the table can still keep playing.

Of course. Just start another table. And one of the four players at the table you first set up will become the host at that table.

I was worried that if I set up 4 savvy bridge players who are just not familiar with the actual set up, that I would not be able to leave them to their game and get one of my own at another table.
