I understand the reason given by Gerado but wish the UI were tweak to reflect the situation, e.g. change "Profile Image" text to "Profile Image (Temporarily Disabled)". Then it will clear it is not outright broken and this will reduce the support load. I was about to create a separate post about the same problem but decided to search first.
