missgoren
We had 7 pairs the other day. We had two pairs play each other twice and 2 had 2 sitouts......I assume we need 8, 12, or 16 teams to move correctly? Any way to avoid what happened? Can we use robots to even out the 1/2 table? We are closed to all except our included list.
Uptown3
I have the same question - hope someone responds.
barmar
If you're just 2 tables it's usually simplest to just set up a team game. I don't think we have tourney movements for this.
criptik
When you start the tournament with an odd number of pairs, one table will have a pair marked as Sitout, and the director is supposed to sub two folks in to replace the two sitouts. The substitutes need not be on the tournament's include list. My understanding is that robots can not be used as subs in tournaments, but it's something BBO is looking at for the future. I agree it would be nice.
Uptown3
Can someone from BBO please weigh in on this? If I have, say, 13 pairs, 6 1/2 tables, and the director can't fill the table, will there be a sit-out round for every pair, or just some pairs, and will everyone play the same hands? Uptown3
Great. How exactly does the director add robots to fill out the half table?
jnichols
Great. How exactly does the director add robots to fill out the half table? Click on the tournament and pick "Substitutes" Substitute Select sitout by robotDo it twice to replace both players in the pair
Uptown3
Click on the tournament and pick "Substitutes" Substitute Select sitout by robotDo it twice to replace both players in the pair Thanks. So initially, one table will see two sitout seats, and then, when I do the robot substitution, that table will see robots taking the place of the sitouts, and the first hand will be dealt? That's how it works for me.
MBV53
In Howell I assign average== in all the rounds. In Mitchel if tables and rounds are equal I assign ave==,
