Tweak BBO

In C:\Bridge Base Online\flags, there are the BMP files of flags. Could I replace the BMP files with other BMP files. Would the flag be changed then when I mouse over the players?

 

There are sounds and netsounds folder also.....

You can replace the sounds in /netsounds

 

I do it myself to replace the shrill ring ("you have a private message") with a gentler sound.

 

 

You can replace the BMP files , but make sure the new ones are the same size as the old ones

 

 

These folders are overwritten when you install a full version of BBO, they are usually left alone during upgrades

Do you mean exactly same size? Maybe a bit difficult.

 

May I know more about the 'Use felt'? Seems it is not the windows provided colouring mode. Is the 'Use felt' b/g kept in some place on client PC? Can I tweak that?

if you make the bmp too big and screw up your BBO session, no biggie, as far as i am concerned, but if you make it too big and the screwed up bbo session then screws up the client, I'll be irritated.

 

Maybe you should email fred@ and get the dimensions of the img

 

 

Use felt paints a bmp onto the table. BMP is (currently) embedded into the progam and can't be changed.

Andy you can change your own flag and your own sounds. Whatever you do it has no influence for your view of others. Switching your file for your flag then all will be able to see your new flag.

 

I have tested and there are not much room for others formats. 150 x 100 looks like maximum and 10KB. You can create your new image via 'paint' application but you will only have 2 true colors.

 

It is a nice training for a few hours computing on a rainy afternoon. I am sure you like me will re-load the BBO flag after the session.
