I suggest we move straight on to registration for the next tournament in light of the virus! Lots more free time for everyone now!

Alright. Let's do a quick one week registration and get straight into it, assuming BBO is capable of handling the load at the moment.

IMPs, popular choice of best-hand/non-best-hand.

Registration deadline is 7pm, 28 March, New Zealand Standard Time.

Usual wall of text for first-timers:

This is a forum event based on friend challenges. You will be playing challenges against other members in a round robin / knockout format No prizes, just fun. To prove you are capable of creating/accepting challenges, if you have never played in a challenge event before, send me an 8-board IMP challenge of your preferred type. I will accept promptly - you must complete the challenge before expiry to prove you are capable of participating. (If you've competed in any previous event, voting in the poll suffices). See previous event threads for an idea of how it works. Deadlines will be based on an average of 4 16-board challenges per week.

I tried to answer only the second half of the poll (until I think a bit about the first question), but server didn't let me. Voted for 'best hand' because of two facts:

- it is much more pleasant

- with best hand, the advantage of GIB experts is not as big as in match with many defending boards

However non-best hand also has it's virtues. I am really not sure which option is better for competition...

And yes, of course - I'm in
