MatCauthon
Each time I try to log in today, it takes 20-30 seconds. Is something up with the servers? Is the online NABC more popular than expected, maybe? :)

barmar
We're running into capacity problems due to the large number of players who are in lockdown and moving online, combined with the first day of the NABC Online. We're working on mitigation, please be patient in these trying times.
Rikje
I cannot log into bridgebase today.I am connected to internetSame here, although I'ts possible for me to reach the old (flash) version of the site.
barmar
Same here, although I'ts possible for me to reach the old (flash) version of the site. The problem is indeed that the servers used for v3 are getting the majority of the load now. We're converting some of the v2 servers to v3.
EddyHaskel
I had a similar problem today. What worked for me: Browser setting: - Delete cookies and site data for bridgebase.com - reload browser tab (or simply refresh browser) - you will need to re-enter your username and password if you had these automatically saved using the "remember me" function. Hope this helps for your problem.

We're converting some of the v2 servers to v3. I suspect that load is also cranking up due to Covid19 crisis. At my usual times, the number online has already increased from 12-13K to 16K.I wouldn't be surprised to see demand double before the end of month, hope you can cope or acquire more capacity. We know COVID-19 is the reason.

barmar
We just finished increasing v3 server capacity by 33%. Hopefully this will keep things stable until NABC is over.

I am going to be bringing you (much, I hope) more capacity "problems." I am moving all of Unit 562 online in the next few days.

Sounds to me like a pious hope.I have been seeing 20K people online all day and an attempt to create a duplicate failed.Tonight (WET) the keystone 'Express Free' automatic individual tournaments are missing for the first time. bludlow
Playing NABC today. It skipped board 13. How do I play after the fact. I took a break after board 12. When I logged back on, I was on board 14The tournament isn’t even showing up anymore in ACBL World or Robot

This weekend it was at least 50% bigger than normal, and we were reaching our hard capacity limit. Unfortunately, that limit isn't as easy to fix as what we did on Saturday. We had to make difficult decisions, and decided to cancel many of the free tournaments to allow the pay tournaments to continue. I know this sounds like we're greedy bastards, but we're still a business, not a charitable foundation.

661_Pete
I too have had difficulty logging in to the new client (the version that doesn't use Flash). And when I do get in, the site is sometimes very slow. No problems with the old, Flash version. I'm continuing to use that. And it must continue to be available, at least until the Coronavirus epidemic is over. Live bridge players who are venturing into online play for the first time, are not going to take kindly to the new version.

Live bridge players who are venturing into online play for the first time, are not going to take kindly to the new version. I think you're off track here. If the old version has less access problems that just means that excessive resources are still dedicated to it. Flash has been deprecated for years now and is at end of life decreted by the internet community, BBO would have every right to drop support for it in this emergency and certainly should not make it available to new users. barmar
Yesterday we were indeed running into a capacity limit for the new version. Once we realized what limit we were hitting, it was relatively easy for us to fix it and we did. We already repurposed some servers from v2 to v3 on Sunday.
