Btw, the play of this hand was also pretty interesting, maybe I will post about it later. Arend

Fluffy
♠, if declarer wants to ruff ♥ i dummy we have control on that suit to play trumps.
Al_U_Card
Man, would I ever rather bid game (NT for sure cos S is a bad bet as the probable 4-1 split and C lead will make you run out of trump.) than choose to defend. P has 5-3-4-1 and controls the pointy suits while you have the round ones with lots of fillers and pushers. Their distribution argues for a trump lead, but P will never figure you for Qxx of S so you better put a low S on the table...... :)
P_Marlowe
Hi, if I get it right, we are green versus red. low spade, trying to start a gorcing defence. I am not really exited about the bidding, becausewe have a fit, and we will need to beat them -2,to be 100% sure, that we will get a top. I would just have bid 2H, showing an inv. raisein spade, going after our own game. The main problem ist, that most likly at the other tableour side will play spade, so that you created a top-null situation, making the play nearly irrelevant. With kind regardsMarlowe
