ahydra
Last one from the teams. Tricky bidding decision on a horrible misfit. [hv=pc=n&w=shqjt985dj8ckq863&d=e&v=b&b=10&a=1s2d]133|200[/hv] Standard methods (no NFBs etc). Do you double or bid 2H? Partner rebids 2S, what now? Thanks, ahydra
sfi
I have too much playing strength for a negative double and then 3H, so 2H looks right. I don't want to force to game over the 2S rebid though, so I'll try 3H now.
apollo1201
2H can be a little shaded after intervention vs an unopposed auction 1S-2H. The robust 6-cd suit and 9HCPs should therefore be enough. However, the spade void is slightly worrying, and the continuation very vague so far (partner will not bid 3C w/o extras, and 3C over 2S should now be GF which really overstating my strength...therefore we could miss a 9-cd C fit easily to play in a 6-1). X will not make things easier, though, over a default 2S rebid, or if opps go higher in D. At least, 2H places us a little better, describing a H more (partner will fit with 3 or even Hx, a more likelihood than her having 4-cd support). FelicityR
Without knowing that partner is going to rebid 2♠, or the opponents might raise ♦s, I'm inclined to X as it gives you the opportunity to find a ♣ fit, too After 1♠ - [2♦] - X - 2♠ it isn't easy. Would 3♥ be forcing here? I'm not expert enough to comment here. I suppose it all comes down to agreements.
