zdas04
I just played a hand in a Robot Tournament (IMP 5177). On Board 12 the bidding went P - P (partner) -P -1S(me) -P -1N (partner) - P - 2H (me) - all pass. I finished and watched a half dozen other people play it and EVERY SINGLE TIME the bidding went P - P (N)-P-1S(S)-P -1N (N) - P - 2H (S) - P - 4H (N) - all pass. Can anyone tell me why the Bot would leave me in 2H and take everyone else to game (everybody made 4H)?
etha
Its bidding is non deterministic. Let's say it is choosing between 2♥ and 4♥. It deals itself number of hands and looks at the best outcome. This obviously may be different depending what hands it deals for itself. barmar
I looked at the traveller for this board, there's only one player in 4♥. They rebid 3♥ rather than 2♥. There's also someone in 5♥ after that 3♥ rebid. Most players ended up in 4♠, either by opening that or jumping to 3♠ or 4♠ after the 2NT response. http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands.php?traveller=5177-1565213041-18281403&username=zdas04 There were several players who didn't finish board 12. But they never even started it, they all dropped out earlier, so they couldn't be what you saw, either.
