The explanations of bidding didn't seem to match up with results.

As they say "where was the hand you held during the bidding" lol.

Obviously another application of the 8 ever, 9 never rule. QED. Never bid a contract with 9 total trumps, ever bid a contract with 8 trumps. In this case, there are 7 trumps in hearts which make the 4♥ even better than bidding with 8 trumps.
