EugeneM
For some reason I want to use old version of BBO client (3.9.9). But every time I log into BBO the automatic update process tries to overwrite it. I declined update several time, but now every time I log in I receive annoying message regarding the errors with update and with the new pop-up window in browser. My questions are: 1. Is there any way to disable this annoying pop-up message?2. Is there any way to disable automatic updates? uday
I can disable upgrades on a per-user-per-version basis. Email me -- uday@ -- and tell me what your username is. However: at some point we'll start to turn off access from the older clients. If there is some aspect of the new client that is inferior, let us know. Or, to put it another way: why would you want to stay with 3xx ?
csdenmark
If possible to log in with older versions - I would like to find my old version where I had empty tables on top and and below all other tables. I don't remember the version but I think I have it on another computer. None of the features, except getting rid of the white screens, implemented during last 1-2 years I am interested of. If possible please disable the aut. download for my ID(csdenmark). I assume I will always be able to upgrade manually to the newest version from BBO-WEBsite, BBO-Forum or the news-reel at the client. fred
Sorry CS, but we are not going to get involved in turning off autoupgrades for specific people unless they have a technical problem with the latest version (and even then we will first do everything we can do try to solve the technical problem in question). I am sorry if you do not like the results of countless hours of work that we have put into this free site in an effort to make to introduce features that we think that the normal people among our membership will enjoy. Judging from the feedback that we have received from just about everyone else, we are making good decisions in this area. If you click the View button in the Main Bridge Club and unselected "Show full tables" you will be able to see all of the tables that contain empty seats. csdenmark
I know that Fred and I admire all your efforts very much. You cannot please all with everything and I am one of those who never plays tourneys - and therefore I am much more interested in other kind of features. Your considerations regarding mini-BBO's is a way I very much hope for. For me it is not a 'must' that BBO is solely a free service. I just read Uday's commentar like it would be possible to use older versions if you liked those better - and he asked for a reason why somebody would like that better. I understand I have misunderstood Uday. Sorry for that Fred! Kind regards from Denmark where spring is hereClaus Sønderkøge
