Neat play or defend hand

Had a neat hand from the STAC tonight:

[hv=s=sakt8ht4dat83c873]133|100|[/hv]

You are vul and the opponents aren't. Pard opens 1 and RHO overcalls 2.

You make a negative double and pard pulls to 3. Your 3N ends the auction.

The 6 is led. For brevity - here is the entire hand:

[hv=n=s74hqj953d7cakt52&w=sq9652ha872d64cq9&e=sj3hk4dkqj952cj43&s=sakt8ht6dat83c876]399|300|[/hv]

Do you want to play or defend?

I've been lurking on the forum for a while, but have to break silence here to ask: is double-dummy play assumed in problems like this? Or do you play as if you could just see your hand and dummy?

I'm probably wrong, but it looks to me that the contract goes down only if east finds the 9 at trick 1.

Hi welcome to the forums.

On a play or defend hand its assumed to be double dummy.

Otherwise I would just post the NS or NE or NW hands.
