What methods do other use in this situation? [Edit: Match-point Pairs]
P_Marlowe
Any suit bid is natural and forcing, so you could start with 3H, and take it from there,if you get the chance to bid 4D, you left plenty of room, this should set trumps, allowingyou to key card, maybe you can cound to 13, if you get a raise to 4H, you can again key cardwith hearts as trumps. The good thing is, you always can check out in 6NT.It gets a lot harder, if you are missing controls in one of the majors.

What methods do other use in this situation? I assume the 3♦ interference is natural. I would go for RKCB which is less agricultural than 6♦.I think most partners would take 4NT as RKCB♦ even if this had not been discussed. We use 4♣ as a Kickback over 2/3♦ which lowers the level without giving up more important natural bids. FelicityR
To come in at the three level even non-vulnerable I expect partner to have a half-decent and certainly more than minimum hand and reasonable ♦ suit, and given that the Multi is usually bid on weaker hands than a weak two, I'd just bid 4NT RKCB and proceed from there. It's no good fluffing around here trying scientific bids. However, I don't disagree bidding an agricultural 6♦. If partner has bid 3♦ on ♠xx ♥xx ♦KQJTxx ♣AQJ, you're never going to be able to work out that 7♦ is a lost cause.

That's where the Kickback helps: using 4♣ we would know by 5♦ that we hold all keycards plus the Q but lack the ♥K, and even using 4♥ one would know the same within 6♦. helene_t
Blacky and then probably 7d. At matchpoints it is more difficult as it would be good to explore 7nt. If p might take 4nt as nonforcing I just bid 7d. I am not worried about the queen.
