helene_t
http://tinyurl.com/ybvjb4sb We find a fit. We haven't bid any other suits. Partner doubles a cuebid in our suit. 3/4 of your points are in our suit. Opps bid 3NT. Which suit do you lead? The problem is that the lead-directing double shows the same as pass: it just confirms what was already known. GIB usually doesn't lead my suit when I make a lead directing double. This is different, though: the double was apparently not even lead directing.

Bid another suit if you want a diamond lead. 2. Double the cue bid if you want a lead in another suit. 3. Don't bother signalling if you don't like GIB's lead, GIB doesn't care. GUBBO leads seem to seek 4th and 5th trick before first second and third. 1d is 3+, 3dx is 4+ so it thinks needs 4th and 5th tricks. It is a very tempo-based creature. Except this time it gave tempo away. Generally, for me, GUBBO's leads have worked quite well. MAybe, just maybe not doubling with 11 hcp opener might have worked.Only the shadow knows!!!!
