diana_eva
Team match, IMPs, good opps. You're playing 2/1 nothing fancy. Eg ask aces, cue something? Would you have bid differently so far (in 2/1 that is)
sfi
What are your agreements over 3S? I would expect 3NT says "no aces but at least one king", or something similar. Partner may have even tried something like that with a king or two without agreement, so I'm giving up here and hope I don't have four losers.

johnu
Partner should cue bid a control after you have set trump. Even with a cue bid by partner, slam may have no play, so pass is your only choice.
neilkaz
Easy pass. You've bid your hand already and PD failed to Q.
steve2005
Sfi has the sensible agreement.cue=ace, 3N=unspecified King(s)Next best is to cue any A or K's and probably shortness. So asking keycard is a waste of time partner should have 0.I don't know why you are asking if bidding is different if playing 2/1? This isn't a 2/1 situation.
diana_eva
I don't know why you are asking if bidding is different if playing 2/1? This isn't a 2/1 situation. I was trying to avoid posts about how this would be bid in strong club or precision, since I don't play that at all. But perhaps some would start with 2S not 3S, or not open 2C at all, or maybe they'd follow-up in a different way - that's what I was asking about. kuhchung
I don't know where I heard this idea, but I got the impression that immediate 4 level bids are ace, and 3N is "no ace but i have at least a king" is standard so this is an easy pass
Phil
Dont like 3S one little bit. We have blocked partner from showing diamond length or possible heart length which are at least as important as the club ace for slam. Pass now but not happy.
