7S bid after 2 responses

Recommended Posts

A cool hand from this weekend, I played it online with my f2f partner:

[hv=d=s&v=b&n=saqj764hq8dak6ca9&w=s3hj97532djt84c32&e=st98hakt64d75cq84&s=sk52hdq932ckjt765]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv]

Bidding went:

pass - pass - 1 - pass

2 - pass - 2 - pass

3 - pass - 7 - all pass

1 = 15+ any

2 = GF, 4, 5+

2 = relay

3 = 3-0-4-6

Because of his distribution and GF strength, I knew p had both black Kings, and a usefull Q :)

From a club game:

[hv=d=e&w=saqxxhakqjxxdatxc&e=sxhtxxxdkqxckqxxx]266|100|[/hv]

1 (Dbl) 7

1 = 4+, 9 - 13 HCP, unbalanced.

I figured that with 29 HCP visible and all the others marked with my RHO 7 would not be a problem. And thus it was. As the cards lie it was even colder than expected, making 9 or so.

from yesterday:

Dealer: ?????
Vul: ????
Scoring: Unknown
AKQJ9xx
Axxx
A9
[space]
xx
KQJ10xx
Qx
xxx

I big it in 5 rounds without confidence, but our opponents at the other room went:

2-3 (at least 2 top honnors)

7

LIKE that one fluffy we would bid it 1(Precision) 1 2(asking )3( AKQ OR 6 to 2 of top 3 in ) 7

Another one from F2F ---- I haven't got the ACTUAL hand but (playing Precision) my P opened 1 (he had 26 points and SIX to the AKJ) ---I replied 2( showing 5D and 8+ points)--- and he bid 7 which was COLD -- and 7NT made ONLY because I had the Q

Lots of folks bid 6NT - NONE 7NT and only 1 other couple bid the GS in
