Gerben42
Hi, I normally have "ignore chat from enemies" on. However lately I was in a tournament and one of them was my opponent and he seemed very quiet. Maybe if they are at your table in a tournament they should be able to talk to you. Maybe this is already the case and this guy just said nothing at all?
Jim Harper
i have several nics on my enemies list. many of them are tournament directors and most of those are acbl directors. i also have checked "ignore chat from enemies." i use the enemies list to keep my copy of the chat bar as uncluttered as possbile. i find all those advertisements by acbl directors to be unnecessary and frankly unwelcome. there are few players who have earned their place in my hall of shame on my enemies list. most are only there for a short sojourn, usually a few days, until they decide to stop sending me messages. i update the player notes for any player who makes an out of the ordinary bid, makes nasty comments to players at the table, quits in the middle of a hand, is nice, pleasant, friendly etc. i check to see if there are notes for any of the players at the table i am seated at. i date the notes as well and purge old negative notes if there have been no newer incidences. perhaps when a player sends a message to someone and it is blocked becasue that player is on their enemies list, the system should return a message and inform the sendor that their message was not received. mycroft
perhaps when a player sends a message to someone and it is blocked becasue that player is on their enemies list, the system should return a message and inform the sendor that their message was not received.I think this is a horrible idea. If the people I have enemied off think I'm ignoring them, well, I am. If they get a message that I think that they're an enemy, some will: gripe about it publicly (in places where I have to see it) go after my partner, who then has to deal with it or block them themselvescomplain on the forumsgossip about it to others who... ignore means ignore. If that means that I can't hear the TD because I haven't unblacked her when I'm in her tournaments, that's my problem. Yeah, I wish I could unblock certain queries - like when my LHO who I've just enemied because after two requests to quit it, he's still trying to teach me now asks what this weird bid is. But I can't. Oh well. Count me in, however, for another two or three categories - user-labellable - with options to "ignore chat from..." as well. I'd love to be able to differentiate between "this nick spams the lobby list all the time, but is basically a nice guy" and "Remember, you enemied this one because it was either that or putting a fireaxe through your monitor?" and "left without warning or goodbye". Michael.

No! I don't have a single player blacklisted andI certainly don't want to find out if others have me black, not to find out that way anyhow.
