Responsive double is supposed to be some approximation of 5-5 in the unbids, often something less shapely than that but South is supposed to bid on 3 cd heart in preference to some 5 bagger club suit. It doesn't at all guarantee 4H only and South is supposed to only support with 4, or know that if north doubles and corrects clubs to diamonds that South is supposed to sit for diamonds with 3H/1D or 3H/2D. So doubling rates to get to some stupid spots IMO. Besides your side finding 4H is supposed to drive E/W to 4S sac and +130 is better than +50 anyway. Another argument is that since North is a passed hand, and didn't preempt diamonds to begin with, perhaps South is supposed to assume side 4cd H for failure to preempt, because otherwise it's weird for North to be able to have a 3D call here.
