You can then use 4NT keycard to find 2KC and Q♥.

This allows you to count 13 tricks and bid 7NT.

(1) FSF, 4NT works with the given hand set, but at this point responder only

knowes about (28)30+ HCP.

With 5/4 or 5/5 in the majors,minimum openers get more attractive, i.e.

responder is not strong enough to force to slam

If you play, that a opener in 1st and being red always promises the world,

than the reponding hand may be strong enough to force to slam, know your style.

(2) Diamond Stopper, 5/4 in the majors

(3) Sets trumps, showing slam interest.

The alternative would be 4NT, quantitative invite to 6NT, ..., opener will pass.

Scoring matters, playing MP, I would go the 4NT route, and ending there.

Playing IMP, I would go the 4C route.

(4) Cue Bids, Given that Opener is min, he should not bid 4NT, besides given that club

is trumps, and given that he has only 2KC, a 5D response to 4NT by passes 5C

The 4S bid is also showing a suitable hand, i.e. a hand, that has someting for slam,

Responder can count 11 running tricks, the 12th at worst on a finesse, if opener has the

I think you need to ask for kings too to be confident of 13 tricks:

The alternative suggested in the first reply just figures, "Hey, I have 20 distributional pts opposite at least 12, more than likely we will make without giving my partner a chance to mess up the bid." That makes total sense and probably what I would do in reality. Just one modification:

I only count twelve tricks prior to asking for kings, but when partner shows me the king of diamonds, I now have one spade, four hearts, two diamonds, and the six clubs.
