Shugart23
For those that play a Strong Club System, is there a consensus on what your Partner's Redouble means inCase 1 : Opponent's Double is Lead -DirectingCase 2 : Opponent's Double is some form of Take-out ? Phil
I dont differentiate. In either case its a balanced positive.
spotlight7
I use 'transfer' bids in competition. 1C*=(X)-XX=Ds, 1D would show Hs etc.
steve2005
This really depends on what you want from your system and what your system is.Also, your style. Do you want to punish opponents when they come into your auction or do prefer to do best to find your contract?

Do you want to punish opponents when they come into your auction or do prefer to do best to find your contract? I am actually coming at it from the defender's point of view.....The double by partner is a mandatory relay to Diamonds showing either 5+ Diamonds OR at least 5-4 in a Major and Minor.....Thinking about what responses I want to have over the Redoubler (including Pass)
Shugart23
I dont differentiate. In either case its a balanced positive. so is a Pass 0-4 and 1D 5-7 in your system over the Double ?

Thank you FWIW, in IMPrecision, 1♣ - (X) is a real gift since we can disambiguate the two-way 1♦ response, keep the rest of the structure intact *and* preserve options to penalize them: P: Really weak hand (0-4)XX: Looking for blood, with 4+♣1♦: Any GF with 12+ or so1♥+: Unchanged, as before
