proloto
Hello BBO, I've written some software that generates "interesting" hands - i.e. finesses will fail, suits will not split, but there's a squeeze or an endplay that will succeed. I'd like to be able to practice playing these hands against robot defense, but I can't figure out how to do it on BBO. The best I can do is: Convert my PBN file to a LIN file using http://johnfromarran.org.uk/Bridge/ConvertPbnToLin.php In Hand Editor, import my LIN into a New Folder Create a practice table and set the deal source to the folder This almost works, except I can see all 4 hands which kind of defeats the goal of practice. Does this functionality already exist and I'm just not familiar enough with BBO, or is there no way to get the Robots to defend against my practice hands that I have in PBN format? Thanks! barmar
Practice tables are for practicing bidding, not playing. Did you mean a teaching table? At a teaching table the teacher sees all the hands, but the students don't. So you need to create two usernames. You open the teaching table with username1, load the hands into it, then use a second browser window to login with username2 and join the table. Username2 should be able to play the hands without seeing them.
