The explanation of 4♠ was, cue bid. The explanation of 5♥ was no ♣AK; no ♦AK, blah blah blah. Well, needless to say, North holding no top honors in clubs or diamonds was music to my ears.

 

Never mind that North DOES have the K of diamonds. But obviously, the real laugh is that I was allowed to play 6♥ undoubled with West holding four trump tricks.

GIB can see sure 400, but can't be sure if doubled 6H runs to 7C, would be more than 400.

Isn't it West who holds the trump tricks? Though I'm no expert, perhaps there is a way to score trump tricks with a void that I haven't learnt yet :) - edit: I see OP has now corrected this.

 

But yes, North should cue DK.

I'm guessing you're joking but 7♣ doubled, down 2 at this vulnerability is 500 and West has 2 tricks for sure against 7♣

GIB really doesn't understand cuebidding :( It doesn't play that 4♥ denies an ace, so 5 level bids are still only showing aces, thus it has no way of denying a king - so you basically have to completely ignore descriptions like that.

 

As for the lack of double, well it's obviously silly, but when to double a slam isn't really something that can/should be done based on points rules which is all the free robots do. Best left to the advanced robots, who would easily get that right.
