I suspect Gib just chose a bid close to hand. :) Steve.Indeed RAMBBO ignores lead directing doubles usually when has 3+ in partner suit. Has worked out ok once you know it. The more irritating case is 1c-1s-1nt by them. pass-pass-dbl by you where blurb says penalty lead spades and it does not.
