GIB plays a convention called "support doubles" and "support redoubles". If partner bids a major at the 1 level, and RHO doubles or bids something below 2 of partner's major:1. dbl or redouble after RHO's double shows THREE card support.2. raising to 2M shows FOUR card support. So GIB thinks you have 4H not 3, to show 3 hearts you should have redoubled. Then presumably partner can try 1nt and you can correct to clubs. But also there is a bug here, on this auction even if it thinks you do have 4 cd support, it is silly to correct back to hearts. You would always sit for 2H-x with 4 cd H unless your clubs were much longer. The definition for 3C should be corrected to NF 6+ clubs and North should sit. According to the blurb it is presently being interpreted as a forcing game try. This is nonsense, because then you'd be too strong for 2H to begin with, and if that were really the case also you'd very much want to play 2H doubled. Also, despite the fact it's correct on this actual layout, I find it rather bold that west wants to penalty x 2h on the opp's presumed 4-4 fit holding a big diamond fit, on a different layout you will make 2H I think and bot will regret such action. I'd feel more comfortable taking a shot at 3H rather than 2H. On a different day the HKJT is over him rather than under, you have 4H, and defense just takes 4-5 tricks.

Stephen Tu
Isn't it GIB who made the 2H bid rather than redouble?North is A2003 and South is Robot in the diagram I see. I doubt it. In some of the BBO human always declare formats, who was the bot in the bidding gets flipped in the diagrams after the human declares the contract. Also GIB is good about not missing support doubles/redoubles, that's not a bot type mistake. On support x auctions the problems come later in the auction for bots. Also poster is complaining about the correction of clubs to hearts, since clubs is at most down 1 while hearts is down a ton, which implies that North was GIB originally. Thanks, you're right of course, just a defect of the BBO interface.Even when I am playing I find it illogical and confusing that BBO flips the names when offering me the (dubious) privilege of playing in place of GIB :)
A2003
Correct the diagram reversed after I became the declarer. Computer switches seat after dummy becomes declarer. I was south to begin with.
