In new update pack, I can not click on the name of the use, in the chat pane, to answer messages. Yet I can hit Ctrl-R OR use the upper left kib dropdown to talk. This occurred at tourneys only as kib'er.

New feature?

As far as I can tell this is a new bug that happens only if you and the intended recipient are both kibitzing at the same table in a tournament.

It will be fixed in 4.2.5 which we will hopefully be releasing to the general membership by automatic download within the next 4 or 5 days.

If anyone sees this problem happening in any circumstances other than the one described above, please let me know the details!

Sorry about this bug - careful mistake on my part.

This has happened to me,and it goes

way back since the 3.x.x. versions, but to me it happens only

when I sit in the lobby.

If it doesn't work in the lobby I click the Play Bridge

button, and then I can click names in the chat pane.

It also only seem to happen when it isn't me initiating

the chat.

I am wondering if it could be related to me having

"Ignore chat from lobby" enabled.

It only happens occasionally, and never really bothered me I guess...

Sorry Fred, but it happens to me both when kibbing in a tourney and when kibbing in the main bridge club - both people at the same table seems to be the trigger, not whether it is a tourney table or not.

Thanks for the report Julie.

I was able to replicate the condition in the Main Bridge Club, but only at tables where "Kibbitzers can chat with players" is set to "no".

Good news is that this caused be the same thing that was causing the original bug so the fix I put in fixed this too.

In a few hours I will talk to Uday about doing a release of 4.2.5 so those of you who are inclined to try it can let me know if it is still broken anywhere.
