Perhaps you're thinking of the old 15C:Yes, that's what I was thinking of. I didn't realize that they got rid of it. Maybe they felt that even if the auction is repeated, there are too many inferences from the different styles of the different pairs. But many of the changes in 2017 tried to provide more ways to get a normal bridge result after irregularities instead of assigning scores, while this seems to go the other way.
