Spring 2018 NABC Online Individual

2018 is the first year every NABC will be accompanied by an equivalent ACBL NABC Online, each awarding an NABC title as well as masterpoints (Gold and Red for top performers!) Compete for an NABC title, along with Gold and Red Masterpoints, from the comfort of your home right here on your favorite bridge website. This Spring's NABC Online is also stratified. (Unlimited/2000/500).

 

We will do our best to help you succeed and have fun. Click this link to sign up for updates and get notifications about practice tournaments, coaching sessions and other important info related to this upcoming event.

 

 

Quick Summary of Actual Event

  • This is a 3 day event. 1 session a day, 24 boards per day.
  • March 5-7 (Monday-Wednesday)
  • The tournament will appear around 00:30 each day (ie, begins 30 minute past midnight, Eastern Daylight Time), and disappear around 23:59 each day.
  • You can choose to begin your session anytime you like. However, once you begin play, you only have around 6 hours to finish your 24 boards. The time limit is approximately 5 hours + 1 hour allowance for technical issues.
  • Not everyone will play the same set of boards. This is a security measure.
  • This event is Best Hand.
  • This event is Human Declare.
  • This event is scored in MP.
  • Every single board carries equal weight in the final leaderboard computation.
  • There are daily session awards, as well as overall awards.
  • Cost is $40 if registration completed.
  • Registration open between Feb 15-March 5.
  • You need to be an ACBL member by March 2nd to participate.

How to register:

  • Log on BBO
  • Enter ACBL World
  • And look for the ACBL NABC Online Individual
  • The cost is BB$40 and that amount will be subtracted from your BB$ account.
  • If you don't have sufficient BB$, or if we don't have a valid ACBL number for you, you will receive a prompt to rectify either issues before attempting the registration again.
  • If you don't have sufficient BB$ and want to buy some BB$ now, click here to buy.
  • If you have not given BBO your ACBL number yet, click here to add your ACBL number to your BBO name.

Just to be sure the NABC March games, you must have 500 to 2000 points to participate?

The notation unlimited/2000/500 describes the stratification. It means that players with less than 500 will be in stratum C, 500-2000 are stratum B, and 2000+ are stratum A.
