NoTrMade
I think it's great that one's picture can be embedded in profiles. I'm just surprised how many dogs and cats I play with? RBL
steve2005
My partner's cat clicked on 6NT over my 1♣ opening.Favourable lead, a couple of finesses and a suit breaking and the cat got us a top board!
FelicityR
Sometimes I think that the owner's pet could play better bridge than the owner! Ruff! Ruff! (old joke)
msjennifer
But if such a good thing happens then how come the term “ Cat and Dog story” Is still used?Perhaps those who use it have never heard( it’s good they haven’t) of the game of Bridge. PhilG007
Sometimes I think that the owner's pet could play better bridge than the owner! Ruff! Ruff! (old joke) Patricia Sheinwold(wife of Alfred) in her book "Husbands and other men I've played with" related that she had two dogscalled 'Ruff' and 'Finesse' which proved to be tricky when admonishing them and playing bridge at thesame time .

RBLSince I have learned how to put up a picture, I have done so. This is one that is complete inoffensive, but indicates one of my pastimes (apart from Bridge).Yes, all of the dogs and cats reminds me of Victor Mollo's Bridge in the Meanerage series. I have never heard this phrase. I assume it is the same as a cock and bull story?
