The description of the 2 bid was 5+; biddable spades, 18-21 HCP, etc.

The description of the 3 bid was the same with 3+ added.

The description of the 5N bid was Query kings. Have all keycards.

The description of the 6 bid was King of H; 5+; 3+; 18-21 HCP; biddable ; Q; K; 19-22 total points

My questions isn't so much why didn't GIB bid 7 but why did it bid 5N in the first place if it wasn't going to use the information it gained?

Yes, Blackwood is for clubs, but GIB really doesn't know how to play Blackwood in clubs. After 5NT, 6 is always defined as 'No king (below C)', which is meaningless, but that's what it always bids.. it doesn't know how to handle other responses.

good there was fit which is a near fluke then as Gib i assume is passing anything
